The sixth edition of SPORTS FESTIVAL, Romania’s largest multi-sport event dedicated to mass sports, will take place next year from June 12-15, 2025, in Cluj-Napoca. After this year’s successful edition, held from June 13-16, which brought together tennis legends, special guests, and participants from all over the world, we are preparing for the next festival, which promises new surprises and challenges for sports enthusiasts.
As always, the event will take place in the Cluj Arena plateau area, Aleea Stadionului, Radisson Park, Central Park, the children’s playground near the stadium, and Iuliu Hațieganu Park.
Sports Festival 2024 (June 13-16) was a true celebration of sports, where the public had the chance to try new sports, have fun through movement, compete in various challenges, and meet global tennis legends. Andre Agassi and his wife, Stefanie Graf, traveled across the ocean to meet Romanian fans. The two played a tennis exhibition match in Cluj-Napoca, for the first time, alongside Simona Halep and Andrei Pavel, on Saturday evening in BTarena. Together with their special guests, Justin Gimelstob and Horia Tecău, they delivered a magical night for nearly 10,000 fans.
Beyond the major events, the fifth edition of Sports Festival featured numerous sports activities for all ages. Over 150,000 children and adults enjoyed the magic of sports throughout the four festival days.
The traditional sports clubs parade brought even more energy and once again highlighted the diversity of the sports world. Over 3,000 children from nearly 100 sports clubs marched on Friday evening, from Central Park in Cluj-Napoca to the festival’s main stage, set up on the plateau between Cluj Arena and BTarena.
The event included 30 sports initiation areas, challenges on the Survivor Romania obstacle course, face-to-face encounters with sports champions at Sports Talks, an exclusive masterclass by Andre Agassi and Stefanie Graf, the Superhero Charity Run—which supports a different cause each year—competitions, concerts, and lots of fun!
