Come together to the festival and enjoy the Canicross events specially designed for you!
When you do things together with your dog, both of you are happier. So, we invite you to run together. The best part of your dog’s day is spent with you, so at the Sports Festival, you can stimulate your dog’s need for quality time together, as well as for physical and mental exercise. Canicross is a sport in which the human-dog team runs in tandem on a course with obstacles.
We’ve designed a fun course for you, surrounded by areas dedicated to our four-legged friends, bringing many canine-related elements to the heart of the festival.
Run with your dog, enjoy the connection with your body, your dog, the community, and nature.

Participants in the Canicross FUN OBSTACLE RUN will run a ~700m course filled with fun obstacles, together with the dog they registered with.
Minimum age for dogs: 12 months.
Only one dog per runner is allowed. Each team consists of one runner and one dog.
Start location: available on the dedicated competition page at sportsfestival.com
Start time: June 15, 2025 – 14:00
Time limit: 30 minutes to complete the course.
Each participant will start sequentially, based on the progress of the previous runner.
The course is approximately 90% grass, and the terrain may include uneven surfaces, tree roots, or leaf-covered sections. Depending on rainfall and temperatures, some areas may be muddy.
Each runner must make every effort to ensure their dog does not interfere with other participants or their dogs.
Any participant who displays unsportsmanlike or inappropriate behavior, either on the course or anywhere in the event area, may be disqualified at the discretion of the referee. This rule applies before, during, and after the event.
Abuse of any kind, physical or verbal, towards dogs is strictly prohibited. If the referee deems a participant disrespectful to their dog, disqualification will follow.
If a dog becomes unfit to continue or refuses to move for any reason, the team will not be allowed to finish the race. They must leave the course and notify an official as soon as possible, especially if the dog requires urgent medical care.
In narrow or technical sections, the dog may stay behind the runner. When overtaking, faster runners must shout “Passing on the left/right” or “Runner behind!” to alert those in front.
Overtaken runners must ensure their dog stays to one side of the path to allow safe passage.
For runners whose dogs are sensitive to the presence of other dogs, we recommend maintaining sufficient distance at the start of the race to reduce unnecessary stress.
For everyone’s safety, a veterinarian and ambulance will be present for the entire duration of the event.
All participants must show respect and fair play toward fellow runners and their dogs at all times.
Moreover, if a runner or a dog is in danger, ALL competitors are expected to offer help if they can do so safely and reasonably.
🚫 The use of MP3 players, headphones, or any other devices that limit your ability to hear referees or other runners is strictly forbidden. Anyone using such devices will be asked to stop immediately. Refusal to comply will result in disqualification.
🎖️ The top 3 winners in each category will receive special prizes from our partners.
All teams that complete the Canicross course will receive finisher medals.
We encourage you to finish the race with your dog – but please, do not force your dog to continue if they’re tired or unwilling for any reason.
🦴 Throughout the event, the runner is fully responsible for the dog they’re racing with.
You can collect your race kit on June 14 from the Canicross competition area in Central Park.
